Welcome To Hampshire Archery Association

Hampshire Archery Association is the home of archery in Hampshire, UK. The Association is affiliated to SCAS (Southern Counties Archery Society) and GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) who are the governing body for the sport in the UK.

Archery is a sport for all ages and abilities and is great for families. There are over 50 archery clubs in Hampshire and most offer beginners courses. If you interested in trying archery get in touch with one of the clubs listed here.

Hampshire Team Trials

Hi All,

County Team Trials are now confirmed and will be held on the 1st April at HMS Collingwood. Entry form will be on the site shortly. As usual, with the venue, we need to know details of car registration number, and all occupants. Please let me know if you cannot attend but would still like to be considered for the team. I will need your three best FITA/Metric or York Hereford/Bristol scores from last year. I will also need to know the reason you are unable to attend as this may affect your eligibility. American Flat Bow Records

The most recent edition of Archery UK (Winter 2011/12) included proposed changes to the Rules of Shooting to include American Flat Bow (AFB) as a shooting style for Target, Field and Flight archery (p65). 

After email correspondence with GNAS I have been advised that an Operations Meeting on the 7th of January approved the AFB for Field and Flight but not yet for Target and Clout. Additionally: 

  1. Rounds shot before the 1st April 2012 will not count towards a national record.
  2. The GNAS normal procedure for a new record is all claims will be saved until the end of the season and then the highest score will be acknowledged as the first record score.

In line with this, HAA will recognise Field and Flight records shot on or after the 1st April 2012. An amended record claim form will be posted in due course.

RN South Coast Archers Double Portsmouth Weekend

Important Update  -  RNSCA Double Portsmouth  -  Change of Dates

Due to unforeseen problems with the venue at HMS Collingwood the Double Portsmouth tournament will now be held over the weekend of 18th and 19th February. All existing entries will be honoured. A full refund will be made to any archers unable to attend on the new dates. The Navy Indoor Championships will now be held during the Saturday session on 18th February.
